1 1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. milk
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs. Add lemon and vanilla extract and milk. Add dry ingredients sifted together and mix well. Chill several hours. Form into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake in a 375 degree oven for 12 minutes.
