AUNT PENE'S COCONUT CUSTARD PIE | |
1 (9") pie shell 3 lg. eggs or 6 egg yolks 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 2 2/3 c. milk 1 c. coconut Beat eggs slightly. Beat in sugar, salt, nutmeg and milk. Add coconut and pour in shell. Sprinkle lightly with coconut. Bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking until silver knife inserted in center of filling comes out clean, approximately 45 minutes. |
