JAM CAKE 
1 1/2 c. white sugar + 2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. each soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and salt
1 c. blackberry jam
3 eggs
1 c. Wesson oil
1 c. buttermilk

Combine all dry ingredients. Add remainder of ingredients and mix well. Bake in a greased, rectangle cake pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Pour sauce over cake while still warm.

SAUCE:

1 c. white sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Combine all ingredients. Cook until butter melts and ingredients are hot. Pour over cake.
