1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. salad oil
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. prunes (cooked and seeded)
1 c. nuts (pecans)
2 c. self rising flour
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix, pour into large buttered pan. Bake 45 minutes.

ICING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. white syrup

Mix and boil. Pour over warm cake.
