TURKEY DRESSING | |
1 lb. chestnuts, peeled and chopped 1/2 lb. pine nuts 1/2 lb. walnuts, chopped 1 lb. sausage or gizzards 2 squares butter 1 lg. can chicken broth 2 c. rice Boil and cook until done the chestnuts, pine nuts, walnuts and gizzards, if used. Saute meat with butter, and add the boiled ingredients, with the chicken broth and water to cover. Add the rice which has been washed and drained. Cover and let simmer until done. Keep on medium heat and stir occasionally. Ready to serve. |
