MEAT BALLS
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. pork sausage
1/2 c. minced onion
3/4 c. fine dried bread crumbs
1 tbsp. minced parsley
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

(Crushed seasoned dressing mix, makes the best bread crumbs).

Also will need:

1/4 c. hot fat or salad oil
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. boiling water
3/4 c. cultured sour cream

Mix beef, pork, onion, parsley, egg, milk, bread crumbs and spices together. Shape into small balls, size of a walnut.

Brown in hot fat in a heavy skillet or electric fry pan. Remove from pan as they brown. Add flour, salt, paprika and pepper into fat. Add water and cream. Stir until smooth. Return meat balls to gravy and simmer until done. Serve with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles.
