SPUD NUTS 
1 3/4 c. scalded milk

Add to it:

1/2 c. shortening

Add:

1/2 c. sugar

Add:

1/2 c. mashed potatoes

Add:

1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. of warm water
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together:

6 1/2 to 7 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt

Mix together and let rise until double in size - about 1 1/2 hours. Roll out and cut, let rise again. Fry in hot grease.

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar
Hot water
