MILE HIGH PIE 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries
3 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
9 oz. pkg. Cool Whip

Cut together flour, brown sugar, butter and nuts and press into shallow pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. While crust is baking, mix partially thawed strawberries, egg whites and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat 20 minutes at high speed in large bowl. Be sure to beat full time. Fold in Cool Whip. Crumble half of crust in bottom of pie pan. Add strawberry mixture. Top with rest of crumbs and freeze. This makes 2 large pies or one 9 x 13 inch pan. Thaw a few minutes before serving.
