BRISKET 
Beef brisket
1 lg. onion
1 or 2 carrots
1 or 2 stalks celery
Franco-American beef gravy

Put flat brisket in a pan with onion, carrots, and celery cut into large pieces on top. Add 1 cup water. Bake covered for 3 hours or so at 350 degrees. Remove fat and cool. Strain juices. When cool, slice thinly at a slight slant. Add 1 large can Franco-American beef gravy to juices. Pour over meat and heat (covered with foil) in oven for approximately 1 hour.

If desired, add a little horseradish.
