ALE BEARD (DUSSELDORF STYLE ALE) 
5 lbs. klages, 2 low malt
2 lbs. Amber Crystal malt, Lovrbond 80
1 lb. Munich malt
1 oz. chocolate malt
1 oz. Perlick hops, 55 minutes
1/2 oz. Perlice hops, 30 minutes
1/2 oz. Perlick hops, 5 minutes
1 pkg. w yeast liquid German Ale yeast #1007
1 c. corn sugar for priming

Mash grains in 155 degrees for 1 hour. Use iodine test for starch conversion verification. Sparge with 165 degrees water to 5 gallons. Boil wort for 1 hour adding hops per schedule. At conclusion of boil, chill wort to 80 degrees and pack into fementer and pitch yeast. Ferment for 10 to 12 days.

Starting gravity 1.045, finished gravity 1.015. Condition bottled beer for minimum 3 weeks or use artificial carbonation in a Home draft system with CO2 for 5 days. Enjoy!
