KUCHEN 
2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
2 eggs
Flour for a soft dough

FILLING:

2 c. sweet or sour cream
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat cream; add everything else. Cook until thick. Place filling on dough in pans. Add fruit. Top with crumbs.

CRUMBS:

1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter

Work together until crumbly. Make the crust as you would rolls. Press risen dough on bottom and sides of pie pans. Add custard filling. Then fruit. (This can be apples, peaches, cherries, etc.) Then the crumbs. Lastly add a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon. Let rise somewhat. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 8 Kuchen.
