SAN FRANCISCO PORK CHOPS | |
4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick 1 clove garlic 4 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper 2 tbsp. water 3 tbsp. oil 4 tbsp. chicken broth 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tsp. cornstarch Trim fat from pork chops. Put 1 tablespoon oil in skillet and brown on both sides. Remove from heat and then brown garlic for one minute. Mix oil, broth, soy sauce, brown sugar and red pepper. Put chops back into skillet and then pour sauce over them. Cover tightly. Simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Remove chops and add cornstarch to water. Stir in sauce and then pour over chops. |
