INCREDIBLE SOFT SUGAR COOKIES 
1 cup sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
3 eggs
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. milk

In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter. Mix in eggs.

In a smaller bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add vanilla, milk and flour mixture to creamed mixture. Cookie dough should be soft but not sticky. Divide dough into 2 balls and place in refrigerator to chill.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Pull out one ball at a time and roll out onto a floured surface until 1/4-inch thick. Use cookie cutters and place cut cookies onto ungreased cookie pan (shiny work best but tinfoil can be added to dark pans to cover them).

Bake at 350°F for about 5 minutes or until just golden around the edges. DO NO OVER BAKE. Remove immediately from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely.

Frost, if desired, and enjoy!
