PEACH CUSTARD PIE | |
1 unbaked pie shell 4 med. peaches, peeled and sliced 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. fresh peaches, pureed 2/3 c. milk 1/2 c. sugar 3 eggs, slightly beaten 1/4 tsp. cinnamon Scald milk, add sugar, salt. Stir gradually into eggs. Add pureed peaches, vanilla and cinnamon. Place peaches on bottom of pie shell. Pour custard over peach layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees, bake 45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the edge of pie comes out clean. Chill before serving. |
