OREO ICE CREAM CAKE 
15 oz. pkg. Oreo cookies
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 lg. jar caramel topping
8 oz. container Cool Whip

Crush Oreos into crumbs. Reserve about 1/2 cup of crumbs. Put remaining crumbs into bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Next put ice cream on top of crumbs. Spoon caramel on top of ice cream. Smooth Cool Whip on top of caramel topping. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 of Oreo cookie crumbs on top. Freeze until ready to serve. You can prepare this dessert weeks ahead that way it's ready for those unexpected guests.
