HAM WITH CHERRY SAUCE
1 (4 lb.) fully cooked ham, boneless
1 (16 oz.) can dark sweet cherries, pitted
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. lemon peel, grated
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. salt
Dash of dry cloves
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Place ham in shallow pan and roast in 325 degree oven until meat thermometer inserted reads 140 degrees, about 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 hours.

Meanwhile, drain cherries, remove syrup. Combine reserved syrup, cornstarch, lemon peel, dry mustard, salt and cloves in medium saucepan. Cook and stir until thickened. Stir in cherries and lemon juice. Makes 1 3/4 cups sauce.

If desired, brush ham with sauce 30 minutes before end of cooking time. Finish baking, basting occasionally with sauce. Heat remainder of sauce and serve with ham. Let ham stand 15 to 20 minutes before slicing thinly to serve. 12 servings.
