PINEAPPLE CREAM PIE | |
1 (9") pie shell 2 eggs, separated 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2-3 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. butter 1 sm. can crushed pineapple (non syrup) & drained Prebake 9" pie shell. In medium saucepan mix together all ingredients except for pineapple and cook over medium heat. Continue cooking, stirring constantly until mixture becomes thick (pudding stage), then add crushed pineapple, stir and remove from heat. Pour contents into prebaked pie shell. Beat egg whites until stiff, spread on top and bake at 350 degrees until egg whites are lightly brown. |
