4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. beer
3 egg yolks
1 whole egg

Sift together dry ingredients. Take milk, butter and beer, add beaten egg, pour into flour mixture, mix well. Add a little more flour, if needed, to form a soft ball. Divide dough into flour, roll out very thin on a floured board. Cut 4 inches long.

Slit each piece in the center and pull one end through the slit. Fry in hot Crisco oil until lightly browned. Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
