THE GREATEST BROCCOLI CHEESE
SOUP IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD
 
1 lb. broccoli
8 oz. Old English cheese (broken up)
8 oz. butter
1 c. flour
1 qt. chicken broth
1 qt. half and half or milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper

Cut up broccoli and steam until tender in 1/2 cup water. Do not drain.

Melt butter and add flour and cook 2-4 minutes. Add chicken broth and whisk until smooth. Bring to boil. Turn heat down and add broccoli, cheese, half and half, salt and pepper. Heat but DO NOT BOIL.
