HOMEMADE PIE SHELL 
1 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. ice water

Place flour and salt in small bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle water over mixture. Stir with fork to form a ball. Roll out on floured pastry board to 12 inch circle. Fits into 9 inch micro- proof pie plate. Trim and flute edge.

Prick pastry with fork. Cook on high, 10-12 minutes. Pastry is done when it appears dry and blistered and is not doughy. Cool before filling.

Makes 1 9-inch pie shell.
