JALAPENO HOT CORN BREAD | |
3 c. self-rising meal 1 small can hot El Paso chili peppers 2 c. milk 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. Wesson oil 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated 1 bunch green onions, chopped 1 small can creamed corn In a mixing bowl, whip eggs and milk together. Add all liquid ingredients. Add meal, to which baking powder, salt and sugar have been added. Mix well. Stir in grated cheese. Pour into oiled pan. Bake at 350°F for about 45 to 50 minutes. This bread freezes well. Cut into squares and wrap in foil to freeze. |
