3 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
5 large eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add all other ingredients and mix well.

Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°F.
