GREEN CHILE STEW 
1 pt. chopped green chiles (hot or mild, fresh or frozen)
4 med. potatoes, diced (hash brown frozen also work good)
1 lb. extra lean hamburger meat
3 pts. water
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (14 to 16 oz.) can tomatoes (smash tomatoes)

Bring green chiles, potatoes, and tomatoes to boil. Brown meat, drain off fat. Put in stew. Salt and pepper to taste and add garlic bud if desired. Use juice of tomatoes for liquid and add water if needed. Bring to boil, turn down and simmer for 30 minutes. This is a quick meal. Serves 6.
