VEGETABLE SOUP 
Soup bone or short ribs
Water
Salt and pepper
1 can tomato juice or tomatoes
About 1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
1/2 c. celery (optional)
1 c. chopped onion
Noodles
1 beef bouillon cube (optional)

Cover soup bone with water. Boil, scum will form so take it off with spoon. Let meat continue to cook until done. Remove from broth and to the broth add tomato juice or whole tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, celery, and onions. Cook until vegetables are done. Add noodles and continue to cook until they are tender. Serve.
