4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 stick creamy butter
Lemon or vanilla flavoring

Put milk and butter in saucepan and heat (do not boil). Beat eggs and sugar together. Sift flour and baking powder. Add to eggs, sugar and flavoring. Last add milk and butter. Beat. The batter will be thin. Pour in two greased cake pans. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
