RAISIN BEER BREAD 
2 c. beer
1 (15 oz.) pkg. raisins
5 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tbsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beat well
2 1/2 c. grated American cheese (10 oz.)
2 c. chopped walnuts

Heat beer to boiling and pour over raisins; let cool. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and nuts. Stir in beer with raisins, eggs, grated cheese, and walnuts. Mix well. Spoon batter into 2 greased loaf pans (9 x 5 x 3 inch). Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Makes 2 large loaves.
