JAMAICAN BARS 
BASE:

1 pkg. dark chocolate cake mix
1 c. coconut
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 egg

FILLING:

3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 c. coconut
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch pan.

In large bowl, combine base ingredients by hand until crumbly. Reserve 2/3 cup crumbs; press remaining crumbs into prepared pan.

In small bowl, combine reserved crumbs, ice cream topping, cream cheese, and egg at low speed; mix well. Stir in 1 cup coconut; spread over base. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 36.
