1/4 lb. butter
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. Calumet baking powder
1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together first 3 ingredients. Squeeze into dough with hands. Pat into 9 inch square greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Mix rest of ingredients and pour over cooked dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-45 minutes.

FROSTING:

1/2 stick butter, softened
2 tbsp. cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Powdered sugar

Mix until thick and spreading consistency.
