POUND CAKE (EA) 
1/2 lb. butter
1 2/3 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together with mixer. Drop in 3 eggs one at a time, mixing between each. Add half the flour, one more egg and the vanilla. Then add the rest of the flour and the remaining egg. Beat with mixer until fluffy. Place batter in 2 loaf pans which have been greased and dusted with flour. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
