BEAN SOUP 
Ham bone
10 c. water
1 1/2 c. great Northern Beans
1 can (1 lb.) peeled tomatoes, chopped, with juice
1 lg. or 2 med. onions, chopped
2-3 stalks celery, chopped (some tops too)
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp. parsley, fresh
1/4 tsp. leaf thyme
Sm. wedge cabbage, shredded (2 c.)

Combine above ingredients. Cook until beans are tender, about 2 hours. Add salt and pepper.
