TOLL HOUSE MUD BARS 
1 c. + 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts

Combine flour, soda and salt. Set aside. In bowl, beat brown sugar, butter and vanilla until creamy. Add egg and beat well. Add flour mixture. Stir in 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in a 9-inch square baking pan.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375°F. Immediately sprinkle 2/3 cup chocolate chips over top. When morsels are shiny, spread evenly.
