1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix 1 (8 oz.) sour cream 1/3 c. oil 1/4 c. sugar 4 eggs (whole) 1/4 c. water Beat all ingredients at high speed for 2 minutes. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 50 minutes at 325 degrees. Place cake pan on baking sheet. | |

This is a great recipe especially for someone learning how to bake. I have been making this to take to work for years and everyone loves it and requests it over and over. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with using a cake mix as a base. It just makes it easier.
