FRENCH GLAZE STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened & spread in baked pie crust (10 or 11 inch plate)
1 lg. carton strawberries & 1 sm. carton strawberries, fresh
2/3 c. cold water
1 c. white sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch with 1/3 c. cold water
Red food coloring

Spread cream cheese on baked pie crust. Wash berries, use best ones (1/2) to spread on top of cream cheese (either whole or cut in half). Remainder of berries mash in blender with the 2/3 cup water. Cook this mixture for 3 minutes. Add the cornstarch which has been mixed with cold water and the sugar to the above mixture. Cook until thick. Add red food coloring and cool. Pour over berries in pie shell. Refrigerate. Serve with whipped topping.
