1 (24 oz.) jar chunky peanut butter 4 tsp. melted butter 4 c. powdered sugar 1 lb. chopped dates 1 c. chopped walnuts 2 large bags chocolate chips 1/2 bar paraffin wax 2 bitter Hershey's chocolate sq. Mix well the first 5 ingredients, then chill. Shape into small logs (if mix is too hard, lightly sprinkle with water). Put logs in freezer for 20 minutes. In top of double boiler, melt the chocolate chips, paraffin wax and chocolate squares. Use low heat. Dunk logs in chocolate and place on wax paper, then refrigerate. When hardened, place in cookie container and use layer of wax paper in between. |
