SMOTHERED STEAK 
Steak:

6 - 4 ounces cube steaks
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
1 cup flour
4 tablespoons vegetable oil

Gravy:

1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups beef broth
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup red wine
1 onion (thinly sliced)
8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)

Steak: Mix flour with seasonings. Coat steaks with flour mixture. Fry in hot oil until cooked thoroughly and brown.

Gravy: Heat broth and soup until boiling. In a small bowl mix water and flour until well blended, without lumps. Using a whisk mix flour mixture in hot broth mixture until smooth thick gravy forms. Add wine, onions, and mushrooms. Place meat in one layer in a shallow baking pan. Cover with 1/2 of the gravy.

Bake for 15 minutes at 350°F. Serve with remaining gravy.
