JO'S GOOD CHILI | |
1 lb. ground lean turkey Salt to taste 1 c. finely chopped onion 1 c. finely chopped celery 1 c. finely chopped green peppers 1 tsp. minced garlic (I use already prepared in a jar) 1 jar chili mix or 1 env. chili mix (use a good brand; it can be hot or mild) 1 can beef broth or 2 bouillon cubes and 2 cups hot water 1 can red kidney beans 1 can stewed tomatoes Use a large frying pan and spray with Pam and add the turkey, onion, celery, peppers, and garlic. Cook until turkey looks "done" and vegetables are tender. Add all the rest of the ingredients and simmer at least 30 minutes on low heat. Serve with cornbread. |
