HOT SPICED WASSAIL 
Put into a teaball:

16 whole cloves
1 tsp. whole allspice
1 med. orange studded with 16 additional cloves
6 c. cider
1 pt. cranberry cocktail
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. aromatic bitters
1 (6 inch) cinnamon stick

Simmer everything together for 30 to 40 minutes. Float the cinnamon stick on top while simmering. Add 1 cup of (preferably good) rum and heat through. Yield: About 9 cups.
