APPLES IN BROWN SUGAR SAUCE 
4 tbsp. butter
4 med. tart apples, cored and cut into 1/4 inch slices
2 tbsp. firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 c. apple juice

Melt butter in large, heavy skillet over moderate heat. Add apples and cook, stirring frequently for 5 minutes. Sprinkle apples with sugar, nutmeg, and juice. Continue to cook, stirring until sugar melts and mixture comes to a boil. Boil 5 minutes longer. Serves 4.
