GRANDMA'S CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS 
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. broth skimmed from chicken
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

OR:
1 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. cooking oil
Self-rising flour, enough to make dough to roll

Buy a good sized stewing chicken. Stew with a little bit of onion, carrot, celery stalk, salt and pepper until meat comes off bone. Skim the broth.
