ONION SOUP 
1 qt. beef bouillon
3 c. sliced onion (can use more)
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/4 c. sugar (or less)
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. vermouth, cognac or chianti

Saute onions in butter. Add salt, sugar, flour and vermouth. Add to beef stock already cooking in crock pot.
