MAMA CARRIE'S CHOCOLATE PIE 
3 eggs, separated (yolks and whites in separate bowl)
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 large can evaporated milk
Jiffy pie crust mix
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Meringue:

3 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar

Use Jiffy pie crust mix according to directions on box for 1 crust and bake until golden brown. Be sure to punch holes in bottom of crust with fork so it will rise evenly.

Note: Rolling your own Jiffy pie crust makes this pie wonderful.

Mix all ingredients well and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally so it will not stick. When mixture has thickened, pour in baked pie shell. Beat egg whites until stiff; add sugar and cream of tartar. Add meringue to mixture in pie shell and brown under broiler light. This only takes a minute, so watch carefully.
