GREAT BREAD PUDDING 
1 (8 oz.) Italian bread
4 c. milk
2 c. half and half
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
6 lg. eggs
1 c. blueberries (optional)
Confectioners' sugar

Grease 9x13 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bread into 1 inch chunks. Beat with whisk: milks, sugar, vanilla, lemon, cinnamon, and eggs until well mixed. Add bread and soak 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Spoon into baking dish. Sprinkle with blueberries. Set in larger pan and fill up halfway with boiling water. Bake 1 hour or until set when checked with an inserted knife. If knife comes out clean the pudding is done.
