CHOCOLATE FUDGE PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. (heaping) cocoa
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. (heaping) flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1 baked pie shell

Mix sugar, flour and cocoa. Add milk and well beaten egg yolks. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with Meringue.

Meringue:

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
6 tbsp. sugar
dash of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Place all ingredients in bowl except sugar. Beat until almost stiff. Add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time until all is used. Mix until stiff but not dry. Place in pie shell and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
