TEA PARTY LEMON BREAD 
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
Grated rind of 1 lemon
2 lg. eggs
1/2 c. milk
Juice of 1 lg. lemon

Mix dry ingredients thoroughly. Cream butter, 3/4 cup sugar, and lemon rind. Then beat in eggs thoroughly, one at a time. Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Stir until smooth after each addition. Turn into a buttered 9x5x3 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Stir 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice together and spread over top of hot bread. Remove from pan after cooling about 10 minutes.
