OLD--FASHIONED CARAMEL CORN 
6 qts. popped corn
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. nuts (peanuts)
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt

Combine butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Pour over warm popcorn and peanuts. Stir together. Spread out in four shallow pans. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in tightly covered container to keep crisp.
