CORN FRITTERS 
2 c. fresh or canned corn, drained
2 eggs
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. cream

Drain corn, if canned is used. Add beaten eggs, flour, salt, pepper and baking powder. Mix and add cream. Put oil or shortening in frying pan. Drop corn mixture into hot oil by spoonsful. Brown on both sides. Serve with syrup.
