SPICY POACHED PEARS - ELECTRIC
WOK
 
3/4 c. dry white wine
1/3 c. orange juice
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
6 lg. pears, peeled, halved and cored or canned pears
Ice cream

In Wok cook and stir over medium heat wine, juice, sugar and cinnamon until sugar dissolves. Add pear halves; cover and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until almost tender. Uncover and cook about 20 minutes longer, stirring often. Cool. If using canned pears, heat through. Serve warm with ice cream.
