2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. applesauce
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. shortening
1 c. walnuts
1 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Mix in applesauce. Sift in flour and baking soda. Add seasonings, nuts and raisins.

Pour into well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 45-55 minutes.
