OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
2 c. scalded milk
1/4 c. butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. soft bread cubes (about 5 slices)
1/2 c. seedless raisins

Combine milk and butter. Stir milk gradually into beaten eggs. Add sugar, salt and cinnamon. Put bread cubes and raisins into 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Pour milk mixture over bread cubes. Stir gently to moisten. Place dish or pan into a pan of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.
