HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE TOWN COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tbsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) chocolate chips

Cream butter, shortening, both sugars, eggs, corn syrup, water, and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture. Beat well. Add chocolate chips. Drop by level 1/4 cupfuls 3 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. (An ice cream scoop equal to 1/4 cup may be used to shape and drop cookies.) Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes.
